{The Walk} My Struggle With Study

I've decided to start a series called "The Walk" with posts that have to do with rather serious subject mostly pertaining to my walk with Christ.

Lately, it's become more apparent to me that my knowledge is not as extensive as it should be when it comes to the Word.
I sometimes argue with myself in my head (I know I'm really weird please tell me I'm not the only one).
But in these arguments I'll go back and forth on a topic on why some worldly understandings or ideas are wrong and I find myself unable to completely explain why they're wrong.
I know they're wrong because of previous Bible classes, studies, etc... but I should be able to for sure spit out my argument against them with biblical evidence and I can't do it because I don't study enough.

I also find myself drifting away sometimes and my faith growing weak because I'm not setting aside the time daily to bond with the Lord and focus on him completely.
I always make it a point to pray before I go to sleep but that's simply not enough.
I need to stay connected by studying every single day and strengthen my faith over and over and over.

SO, I've taken some steps to fix this problem.
At night, when I usually take the time to watch an episode of One Tree Hill, I'm going to set aside all distractions and take a few moments to study.
Tonight I started a daily reading plan with "SheReadsTruth" which you can find here:

I also started a notebook to write down the main points of the devotional and the questions at the end of the devotional.
They're short, sweet, and right to the point.
They're also one of the few devotionals that I can find that I can actually learn something from or give me something to ponder.
So if you're looking for new devotionals, a new series or an addition to what you're already doing, or even something to start out with, I really recommend these!

I've also set myself up to see short lessons and little things throughout the day to remind me how I should be living!
For example, I've started following "SheReadsTruth" on instagram as well as "DailyProverbs!
Annnnnd I got myself a lock screen that reminds me everytime I get on my phone that I should be a constant servant to the Lord because He gave his Son to die for me!

I urge you all to please join me on this journey of learning and strengthening our faith!
Remember, your greatest weapon against Satan is knowledge.

Love you all!

My credit card ruined my life.

Okay maybe I shouldn't be so dramatic.
But I seriously can't decide if it's the best or worst thing that's happened to me since the internet.
If I see something cute, I try to talk myself out of getting it...but it doesn't usually work.
At least most of the things I buy are for great causes though.. like this MyShineProject shirt!

If you guys don't know (which I'm sure you do cause she's awesome) Ashley, she has a blog over here! It is literally one of the most inspiring things in the world! Every time I visit her page it lifts my spirit!
She started a non-profit organization that helps the underprivileged break the cycle of not attending college!
She accepts donations as well as has a really cool store (really cute stuff don't go there you'll go broke).

I also got down to crafty, *cough* expensive *cough* business this week!
Actually not as expensive as it could've been, though because I got the frame for $40 instead of $80!
Anyway, I made this thuper cute earring/necklace holder with just a frame from Hobby Lobby, some chicken wire, a super thick poster board, and optional knobs at the bottom for hanging necklaces on!
(I'm obviously a necklace junkie and still had some left over to hang over the sides..which I guess is an option too!)

And lastly, for all you feet lovers out there...
I'll leave you with this:
"...How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things." -Romans 10:15

Have a wonderful week everyone!

We are never getting back together...like ever!

*In tune* "WE ARE NEVER EVER EVERRRRRR GETTING BACK TOGETHER weeeeEEEE ARE NEVER EVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER!"
I literally do not care what any one says ever, that song is seriously my jammiest jam of all the jams!
I absolutely cannot stop listening to it.
Seriously.
For some reason it just makes me smile and laugh and I love it :)
Also "One More Night" by Maroon 5...I. Can't. Stop.

I made a new CD yesterday for my car because I'm ~so old-fashioned~ and I don't have an auxiliary input!
All I have is a CD player and radio.
First-world-super-white-girl-problems all in one post.
I know.

Anyway, I thought I would share it with y'all because...let's be serious...I have darn good taste in music okay.
Most of these songs are no fun unless you TURN UP THE MUSIC..(turn it up louderrr).
Chris Brown anyone?
Most of the time when I drive I listen to really mellow songs and just turn them up really loud cause fast, upbeat songs just make me want to drive really fast and I can't really afford to pay a ticket or for my dad to yell at me so..

This will probably be a thing from now on every time I make a CD, so prepare yourselves for some really good music every few weeks ;)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

So many things, SO little time!

This week has been very long and very jam packed!
Between 14 dance classes (7 that I teach and 7 that I take), church, school, and my other job, things get really crazy!

Thankfully, I've been able to find somewhat of a routine in everything but I honestly don't wake up before 11 most days (helllllo being homeschooled) but I also don't go to sleep until 2 or 3 every morning!

Since it's Thursday, (this was supposed to go up on Tuesday l o l) I'm going to set this goal for next week while it's fresh on my brain!

I've been really wanting to get into some sort of an established routine but I've never quite been able to figure one out so I'm going to attempt it!
I'm going to be out the door every morning by 9 am to go workout (okay or not more like do some stretching and work on that six pack for that Arabian costume for nutcracker ;))
Come home, take a shower, do schoolwork eat, yadda yadda yadda.
Go to dance.
Come home, computer time, bible study, get ready for bed!

There are so many things that I want to do in terms of getting organized and things like that, (which I may or may not attempt this weekend since I have the ACT to take and who the heck wants to do that? Not me thank you very much), but if I do make any progress I will let y'all know!

Anyway, back to the actual point of this post, I'm going to start this "routine" thing starting Monday.

Maybe I'll make the getting organized thing a series....who knows? ;)

Monster's Inc. x's 249

So since I'm pretty positive that none of y'all stalk me on a regular basis, you probably don't know that my best friend lives nowhere near me. Okay well she does. She lives in the next state over. But when that state is Texas it could be anywhere from 1 to 1,000 miles. She lives more on the 1,000 side of that.

Anywho! She came to visit me this weekend! Okay...not me. She came to see her sister and brother but still! I got to see her and it was a nice refresher!
I had a blast! Even though all we did was watch Monster's Inc. over and over and over and over. Literally. Her 1 year old niece would NOT stop crying unless Monster's Inc. was on or she was asleep so that's what we watched all weekend! Mind you it was a three day weekend..

However, one night we did break free and went and hung out with another friend of ours! It was a ton of fun! Even though we're all 17 (almost 18...well one of us...not me unfortunately) we did some pretty childish things! Like taking things that reminded us of our exboyfriends and burying them in a spot that reminds us of them to be left as somewhat of a time capsule. It was actually pretty "One Tree Hill"-esque.
I probably shouldn't have admitted that we did that to you all, but what are secrets if you can't share them with strangers on the internet? Am I right or am I right?

That's what I thought.

So ANYWAY this hasn't really all become a habit yet (obviously), but I'm workin' on it! I'll have my goal post written up tomorrow since it's kind of a late week therefore my post to the "beginning" of my week will be posted late as well!

Nighty-Night Lovelies!

"I made you from scratch."

I don't know if y'all watch Grey's Anatomy or not (if you don't you should)...
But anyway, there's this episode where this girl gets really hurt in a boating accident and she refuses to tell her mom because she doesn't want her mom to worry and when she was little and she would hurt her ankle her mother would say, "Be careful Clara, I made that ankle from scratch."
Yay for run-on sentences.
So that got me thinking and I was like "I want to say that to my kids when they're little."
And then I realized, by the time I have kids I'll probably have forgotten all about that little phrase.
So I'm just going to say it about my blog since I'm starting all over!

Okay, so it's for real.
I'm making this blog from scratch and I'm going to do it right this time!

I'm horrible at sticking to schedules or doing things on certain days I have them planned out for!
Therefore, there's going to be no specific scheduling of any posts.
Also meaning that there may not be a new post every day, but there will be one frequently.
(Except every week I'm going to try to set a new goal for myself but we'll see how that goes.)

Anywho, if you would like to read more about me and all that jazz, there are links above for you to do so!
I really hope you decide to follow along my journey through my last few teenage years and onto college! YIKES.

Until next time!
