{The Walk} My Struggle With Study

I've decided to start a series called "The Walk" with posts that have to do with rather serious subject mostly pertaining to my walk with Christ.

Lately, it's become more apparent to me that my knowledge is not as extensive as it should be when it comes to the Word.
I sometimes argue with myself in my head (I know I'm really weird please tell me I'm not the only one).
But in these arguments I'll go back and forth on a topic on why some worldly understandings or ideas are wrong and I find myself unable to completely explain why they're wrong.
I know they're wrong because of previous Bible classes, studies, etc... but I should be able to for sure spit out my argument against them with biblical evidence and I can't do it because I don't study enough.

I also find myself drifting away sometimes and my faith growing weak because I'm not setting aside the time daily to bond with the Lord and focus on him completely.
I always make it a point to pray before I go to sleep but that's simply not enough.
I need to stay connected by studying every single day and strengthen my faith over and over and over.

SO, I've taken some steps to fix this problem.
At night, when I usually take the time to watch an episode of One Tree Hill, I'm going to set aside all distractions and take a few moments to study.
Tonight I started a daily reading plan with "SheReadsTruth" which you can find here:

I also started a notebook to write down the main points of the devotional and the questions at the end of the devotional.
They're short, sweet, and right to the point.
They're also one of the few devotionals that I can find that I can actually learn something from or give me something to ponder.
So if you're looking for new devotionals, a new series or an addition to what you're already doing, or even something to start out with, I really recommend these!

I've also set myself up to see short lessons and little things throughout the day to remind me how I should be living!
For example, I've started following "SheReadsTruth" on instagram as well as "DailyProverbs!
Annnnnd I got myself a lock screen that reminds me everytime I get on my phone that I should be a constant servant to the Lord because He gave his Son to die for me!

I urge you all to please join me on this journey of learning and strengthening our faith!
Remember, your greatest weapon against Satan is knowledge.

Love you all!
